Looking
for a great retreat to write or rehearse your next record?
Set up everything you've got in our spacious live room and
get comfortable to work on a single song or a full length
recording. We can mic it all up while you let loose. You'll
have an engineer on hand to hit the record button to capture
your ideas, leaving you free to think about what matters
most: the song!

Sequencing, Loop and Drum Programming
Midi
is a versatile realm of sound, and we are extremely equipped
with both hardware and software instruments to take your
project to a whole new dimension. Let us work with you to
add awesome electronic leads, realistic orchestra sounds,
original beats and loops, or even go so far as to program
your entire drum tracks in stunning realism! The sky is
the limit when working in Midi, and believe me when I say
we don't even stop there.

Producers and Tracking Engineers
Head
producer Matt Dalton has worked with such notable artists
as Craig Owens and Chiodos, I See Stars, For The Fallen
Dreams, and many more. Over his many years in the industry,
Matt has worked to achieve a unique sound that not only
captures a distinguishable quality, but also allows the
sound of the individual artist to show through. First assistant
engineer Ryan Arini is a Full Sail University* graduate
and has worked alongside Matt to transparently provide the
quality of service one would expect when trusting their
project to us. We are friendly and attentive and genuinely
enjoy the time we spend each in the studio working with
you on your music.
Large
Live Room With Floated Floors
Our
live room is both impressive in sound AND in size. It has
a sonic fingerprint that adds a real nice character to anything
recorded in it. We mainly use it for drums and guitar, but
it can be great for lead vocals, and if you've heard a song
with "gang vocals" recorded here you can really
get a real nice feel for the sound of the room.
QUIET
Isolation Booth For Voice / Quiet Material
Whether
you want to record ultra dry vocal tracks for perfect post-processing,
or even record your drum tracks in extreme isolation, our
isolation booth or "dead room" is uncompared.
House
and Rental Instruments
Want
that big budget sound on a pinched penny? We have access
to more gear than you can imagine! Top of the line drum
kits, all the best in amplification, even vintage Rhodes
and and Hammond organs. If you need it, we can get it, and
it won't break the bank.
Moveable
Gobos For Added Isolation
We
can compartmentalize your whole band in the live room with
gobos to isolate you from unwated noise allowing you to
record together and capture the "vibe" of your
band more than if you were to track individually. We can
also put your drums or guitar within the gobos and close
mic it for improved isolation while still miking the sound
as it develops in the room outside of the gobo to really
give you a feel that is other-worldly. The options are endless,
and hearing is believing.

While we believe that it is wonderful for musicians and
artists to have access to programs and hardware like Garageband,
Ableton Live, Fruity Loops, Reason, Logic, Firepod, MBox,
etc we want to stress that these are tools better suited
to record your ideas, not your final recording. The sound
you've been trying to achieve with those devices will come
to life using the gear designed to bring that life to your
sound. We have compiled a collection of highly coveted microphone
preamps and dynamics processors that make your source material
shine!

us your tracks to process THROUGH our gear. We can add a
lot of warmth and color to your prerecorded tracks and send
them back to you to mix on your own if you so choose.

Imagine
your sound is video game. Do you want to sound like an old
Atari, or do you want to sound like (insert your preference
of Wii, XBox 360, PS3 here). One reason your other recordings
don't sound "loud" enough is simply because the
bitrate and wordlength used to record was not capable of
the headroom needed to boost it over that loudness threshold.
Bla bla bla technical talk, I know, but leave that stuff
to us! We are equipped to capture your sound in HIGH quality
with the lowest possible dither in the analog to digital
conversion. This is highly overlooked and one of the most
important parts of a nice clean, loud, modern quality recording!

preamps to use on various material. We've selected many
units that we feel brings out the best in what we do, and
we are constantly adding to the arsenal both to benefit
you as the client and also to benefit us because we love
new toys.

The preamp in conjunction with the microphone is the magic
combination. We have tons of experience with different mic
and pre chains and can help bring out the best in your performance

Mixing
Mix
ITB or on a Neve 53 Series'
Our
standard mix rate will give you competitive quality mixes
ITB (In The Box). For an extra fee we can mix your project
at our partner studio on a Neve 53 series console responsible
for multi-platinum releases from Kid Rock and alternative
legends R.E.M. Contact us for a rate quote on mixing your

Send
Us Your Material To Mix
Did
you record yourself or record at another studio and would
love to get the final touch from us? We can take your project
and give it the mix it deserves. Arrange with us to send
your files over the internet, or send us a DVD of your files
(we'll walk you through the process) and we'll get you mixed
and ready for the public. We can mix standard ITB, or as
stated above take it to the next level on the Neve 53. Contact

Attended
and Unattended Mixing Sessions
While
mixing sessions run smoothest when the mix engineer can
be left one on one with the material in solitude, we still
welcome you to quietly attend your mix session. Your input
and final say is valuable to us, and we strive to not only
satisfy you, but to truly impress you! All mixes are guaranteed
with a one remix guarantee. This means we will mix your
project to completion and send it to you for verification
on as many speaker systems as you have available to you.
If you hear some spots where we should "turn that up"
or "cut that out" or "fade out sooner"
etc, we'll be happy to make the changes, at no cost to you
for the first revision.
Use
Our Top Secret Mix Chain!
Our
ITB (In The Box) mix process is not exactly that. We use
ITB software for automating volumes, inserting plugins,
and shaping up the mix to as good as it can be in the digital
domain. However, we stem the stereo mix through an array
of high end, rare, and colorful equipment to add that final
touch of "wow" to the mix. If you're here while
we mix, you can trace the patch cables back to figure out
what's going on if you'd really like to know, but we're
not just gonna give away our secrets here!

Mastering
Included In Your Project
Mastering
is the final touch of the recording. We won't go into detail
about what mastering "does", please feel free
to google the answer to that, but we will say that you will
get your project finished and mastered :-)

Can Master Your Mix Recorded Elsewhere
If
you recorded and mixed elsewhere and like the sound of our
masters, you can send us your mixed material (preferably
-4db at the highest peak with a low RMS value) and we can
master it for you.

Authoring For iTunes / MySpace / etc
MP3
encoding is not a one-size fits all process. Let us convert
your recordings to MP3 the right way so they sound the best
they can when you post them online for streaming or for
sale.
Extras
Drum
Quantizing / Editing / Sample Replacement
We can
make your drum tracks loud and proud and sound perfectly
performed! Send us your live drum tracks, or your programmed
ideas and we can give you back professional sounding drum
tracks to use. You can give us a reference for what you'd
like your drums to sound like, or let us use our creative
judgment to find the right sounds for your music. We can
also edit your drums to be perfectly in time and provide
you with click tracks for your recordings as well. Again,
our process to this is much more than just programming drums
and calling it a day. We have a creative touch as well as
great samples and dynamics processors to give your drum
tracks an edge you won't find ANYWHERE else!

Bass

We got 'em, and we got LOTS of 'em. The more the merrier.
I've used 3 or 4 different bass drops in a single song!

Leading Drum Samples
You
want your drums to stand up to the other recordings? It's
not just about having sample replaced drums. It's about
having the RIGHT sample replaced drums and done the right
way with attention to detail. As a drummer, I treat this
process with a TON of care and respect.
Tons
of Amp Tones
I
am a drummer AND a guitarist, and one thing I love is a
GREAT guitar tone. We have so many amps on hand for just
the right sound, it's ridiculous! Record here with us and
get the sound as part of your recording, or record DI (direct
input) guitar tracks into your home recording and send them
to us to play through the amps, cabs, mics and preamps,
and record your performance as if you sat here in the studio
to record it! Yeah, we can do that for you! We'll send back
the tracks for you to carry on with your recording at your
leisure.
Tricks
And Tweeks
I've
got all kinds of gadgets and toys and stomp boxes and effects
processors and plugins and unique combinations of all of
them that can create some astonishing sounds. I feel the
little things can really make a big difference and when
you hear something in a recording that makes you say "wow
what was that??" it can really make a huge impact.
All the toys and trinkets I've been collecting since I was
a kid have helped make some pretty crazy sounds on recordings,
and I'm more than happy, hell I'm actually excited to experiment
with the sounds that will make your project one of a kind.
Interesting
Post Effects
I'm
no stranger to the reverse vocal effect, or reverse anything
for that matter, but it doesn't stop there. The post effects
are the elements of the recording done after it's all tracked.
We can add some cool stuff to really make it sound over
the top, yet tasteful. I'd love to list all the interesting
post effects that we can do with your project, but to be
honest, we don't work from a list. We let the ideas come
to us during the project and if it feels right, it is right.
Playing around with cool post effects is one of our favorite
parts of the recording process because it's the time that
we take what we've done and build upon it in fun and creative
ways!

I
have a wide variety of tastes in music, helping me to specialize
in a wide variety of genres such as alternative rock, metal,
indie, acoustic, electro, as well as many of the "undefinable"
genres that many bands fall into. I feel that while every
recording must have the utmost professional quality, that
does not mean every band needs to use the same preset sounds
to achieve that result. I believe each artist is unique,
and accordingly their recording should reflect that. I strive
to find the individual sound of each project and bring it
to its full potential, rather than put your music through
an assembly line of factory guitar tones, preselected drum
samples, and harshly auto tuned vocals. My approach is much
more organic, utilizing top of line microphones and recording
equipment, but most of all relying on my passion and experience
to bring out the best in your music!
